I'm not familiar with Nix.

Janus: Yep! It just keeps getting easier. I wasn't aware of that feature when I wrote this post, but things keep improving.Neil Mitchellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13084722756124486154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7094652.post-63959357862197678082020-09-25T15:50:00.530+01:002020-09-25T15:50:00.530+01:00now ghcup supports hls, so it is really easy to tr...now ghcup supports hls, so it is really easy to try outJanus Troelsenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16955941075243047389noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7094652.post-85733358704001309232020-09-25T09:35:54.690+01:002020-09-25T09:35:54.690+01:00I installed the haskell-language-server package fr...I installed the haskell-language-server package from nixpkgs and everything went fine, the vscode extension picked it.Joseph Lucasnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7094652.post-12371412911707015672020-09-25T09:11:43.870+01:002020-09-25T09:11:43.870+01:00I have been using ghcide for a while now and I rea...I have been using ghcide for a while now and I really like it.
Following your instructions I disabled ghcide and installed the "Haskell" extension of VScode that adds language support for Haskell, powered by the Haskell Language Server. The new extension works well !
I still have a small issue. While trying to evaluate expressions in comments (">>> expression") I get the error :

"command line>: ld-linux-x86-64.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

I use NixOS, thus the error might be due to a static link at a wrong path on my machine. What should I do to fix that ?Joseph Lucasnoreply@blogger.com
